from St. Colm’s through their interview paces at mock interviews held in the school.

Head of Careers, Mrs Lisa McGrath stated that the pupils in their end of year evaluations always found the mock interview one of the most valuable and productive experiences during their time at St Colm’s as it prepared them for some of the challenges that lay ahead. “Even those pupils who come back into our sixth form to do A-Levels, which now is the majority of our pupils, benefit enormously because many now go for interviews for part time jobs. The knowledge and skills that they acquire as a result of the employers’ interventions prepares them well for the interview process”.

Ms Imelda Jordan, School Principal, took the opportunity to thank the employers for giving so generously of their time to St. Colm’s in assisting the young people to develop their interview skills. She added that “something really constructive and tangible was the end product, as more of our young people were entering the world of work as a result and this would benefit not only them but also our community”.
