St Colm’s High School Welcomes the Lord Mayor of Belfast

St Colm’s High School welcomed past pupil and current Lord Mayor of Belfast, Danny Baker on Friday 17th January. The Lord Mayor was greeted by principal Mr Adrian Walsh, senior teachers and Year 8 pupils. His visit followed the opening of the new Brooke Leisure Centre in Twinbrook, over which he officiated.

The Mayor was given a trip down memory lane as he was taken on a tour of the school, much of which he remembered fondly. He spoke to pupils and staff about his experiences of St Colm’s, emphasising the importance of education and the value of qualifications. He recounted many memories of his time in St Colm’s and entertained staff and pupils with anecdotes of his educational journey through the school.

St Colm’s was very proud to host our Lord Mayor, and we have no doubt that many of our pupils will be inspired by his remarkable achievements.
